Tim Burton's Art Work

I have been taking a look at Tim Burton's art work to perhaps help inspire me with the writing of my script, but I don't believe his art style is quite what I'm looking for at this particular time. A lot of his characters seem to represent the afterlife but I do like these two pictures I have found. I like the simple black and white shades, it looks lonely and grim, I'm hoping my location will give off the same sense loneliness, I want my character to feel lost in a place long forgotten; the last place on the map sort of thing.
